SEASON 1 - E01/02/03

3 min - Switzerland

Launched on Valentine’s Day, Break-ups deals with the end of relationships, thus opposing those who celebrate love!
Break-ups is the first web series of RTS (Radio Télévision Suisse: Swiss Radio and Television), and was chosen among the 185 projects of the Web-Only Contest, which aims at developing short web series.
Each episode lasts about three minutes and uses a quirky tone to illustrate various break-ups between individuals played by about forty actors. The different situations displayed vary from being funny to being dark: In the second episode, the young heroine registers a complaint against her companion and, for that purpose, invents a bunch of implausible lies.
All of the situations were imagined by the American director Ted Tremper, who won the Prize for Best Web Series at the Geneva International Film Festival “Tous Ecrans” in 2011.
The same year, the director had presented the original version of Break-ups, shot in the United States with American actors. However, 80% of the situations shown in the Swiss episodes are entirely new creations, as Michael Lapaire, the co-producer of the French speaking version of RTS, confirmed in an interview with the Tribune de Genève []
